Grow Your Business For Immediate Success

How To Grow Your Business For Immediate Success

Well, this week-end was busy for me. I worked for about two weeks to launch a new website to grow my business. I didn’t know so much was involved because I usually had someone else do it, but I wanted hands in on this one so I could be more effective.

Part one will be what I did (business wise) to launch my website and I thought I’d share so you could grow your business quickly and effectively as well.

How To Grow Your Business and Get In Front of People

We’ve just launched some new products that I thought were awesome! I needed a way to get it out there quickly and effectively! So jumping right in, I did the following to get in the front of people right away for immediate success. Here’s what I did to get started:

1) Find the right people to help you get done what you need to get done!

Don’t pussyfoot around. It is true that time waits for no one when you’ve got a goal to grow your business for immediate success! I jumped right into my network and asked for advice and help on all the things I needed to do. If you can’t get quick answers that make sense, find the right people to help you.

I immediately called on some close friends of mine Adrienne Smith, Donna Merrill, Sylviane Nuccio, Christi Johnson who all gave me their expert advice on various aspects to help me get the word out! Each person is good at what they do with a unique skillset that can help you grow your business quickly.

2) Press Releases

A couple of months ago, Sylvianne Nuccio wrote a couple of articles on her blog on Press releases and how they can be effective.

Her article discussed how to write a good press release and recommendations on where to publish your news release. So I decided to try them.

I called Sylviane and she wrote me a great press release! Check her out if you’re thinking of this! Then I investigated the listing of Press Release companies in her article.

Some of the companies are free; some are not, but again I found it not that expensive and certainly worth the small investment.

You don’t have to go all out financially. One of the press release companies was as little as $25 with distribution, but it’s something to start with if you really want to jump start your business.

Although probably not the best time to launch for me because I did it over a holiday when people are away, I set the press release on a free site at PRLog.

Launched on July 5, at about 1:30 a.m. and as of this morning received 277 hits. I will also launch a paid press release this week to see what the difference is and I’ll keep you posted as to the results.

3) Social Media – Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest

Of course Social Media! Created a Fan Page. I’ve always stuck to my personal page and didn’t do much advertising on it. I had wanted to promote a Fan Page a while ago, but was lazy about trying to get people to ‘Like’ my Fan page and build another following. Well, changed my mind as I need to get serious about advertising.

If I want to get serious about the business, FB Fan Page is a way to go and direct people there. It’s the way of Advertising. I had to expand my narrow mindedness and get with the program.

I created an Ad on Facebook – many of us don’t want to as it seems expensive. And, it wasn’t that expensive. About $56 for about 10 days.

I thought I’d give it a short stint and see what kinds of results I get. I’ve tried FB ads in the past, and I got hits to the website so if you want to drive traffic that is one way. Results will be recorded in the Part 2 series to give you an idea of the success of my FB advertising.

In terms of business, Twitter is the dominating force. If you don’t have a Twitter account or use your current one, you should definitely get involved. Many people think Twitter takes up too much time and it’s hard to learn, but there are automated tools out there that will allow you to take an hour or two on one day and write your tweets out and schedule them for the week or months in advance

A while back, I posted and article on Twitter users. All those Twitter users can’t be wrong in terms of success with business. It is a good way to grow your business!  If you’re not convinced Twitter is a good way to get in front of people, then take a look at the statistics and get active on Twitter right away. There are approximately 645,750,000 million Twitter people registered in Twitter and the average number of tweets is about 2.1 billion a day! That’s saying something and worth the time investment to grow your business.

I always  hated started up on another social media site, but I took a look at Pinterest and discovered an amazing world of interesting  advertising and business.  I was shocked and fast got over it!  I spent most of the week-end ‘pinning’ and setting up boards! Fun stuff.

I never knew the beauty of Pinterest and it’s definitely work a look!

5)  Salesspider

A great website in my eyes. Many people are unsure of it, but it’s another tool. Salespider is business people oriented. You can get your products/website/business out there with little to no cost. There is free and then there is minimal. I put an ad out for $99 dollars which is the equivalent of one of the press releases that Sylviane recommended.

I used Sales Spider about 2 years back, posted an ad and received a number of conversions so I know it works.

6) Blogging

The blogging world is blowing up! Everyone coming online to do business has a blog, but it is not easy. It is time and labor intensive but can be effective if you become good at it.

If you’re already blogging, Christi Johnson clued me in to a tool that will help me get more traffic. It’s called

It is a paid service (only $9.95) per month which connects with Google Analytics and analyzes and identifies your keywords that customers are hitting your website with.

That way, you can blog on those specific keywords to drive even more traffic to you site.

A worthy investment in my eyes. I figure I’ll try it for 4-5 months and see what happens. I’ll keep you posted on that one. Anyway, this tool will help me blog more effectively to drive business to my site quickly and effectively.

Well, that’s it for now.

I hope you find these tools and advice effective for getting your business and/or website out there to the masses.

What are some of your ways that you have been effective in advertising your business and putting it before the masses? It would be greatly appreciated as I love to hear of new resources and tools to grow my business.

Oh and by the way…just do me a favor and pop on over to my new site Beauty and the Waist just for shitz and giggles… 🙂 The new launch is for slimming, back and muscle support, supportive garments for everyone and health and fitness related. You may know someone who needs supportive garments that help you look good and help you get healthy.

Much love and inspiration to all.

    Hi Barbara,

Talk about marketing on speed lol! You have successfully put together all of this in a very short time. You are determined and I wish you all the best on this new venture.

You know my philosophy: “You Gotta Pay To Play” so with that said, I’m sure you will get a good ROI.

When we talked (thanks for the mention btw) I looked at this page and went wild. This is a must-have for just about everyone! I’m going shopping after this comment lol.

The products are for men and women and that is what makes it so great. I am so delighted you wrote this post to introduce us to your new site and you know I’m going to spread the word. Why? Not only because the products are awesome, not only because I know, like and trust you. But I spent double the amount on a similar product and girl this is a great deal.

Fingers crossed and prayers are with you,

      HI Donna,

LOL! Thanks Donna for the encouragement. Glad we talked and I got to run it past you. You are awesome and guided me through my initial issues. Thanks for that. The products are great and unique and I needed to get products out as quick as possible. And yes, I was determined to get this thing launched as soon as possible. Sometimes there’s a right time for everything.

Thanks Donna for spreading the word too! It’s so difficult when there’s no way to get great products and in this day and age where everyone want s to look good it’s great stuff. That’s why I was in such a rush!

Thanks for inspiring me because you did give me encouragement and was patient with me in explaining everything. Still got a lot to do however. 🙂 Next -two more press releases! 🙂

Need to talk more about FB ads. Very interesting and they changed it from before.

      Thanks for the support.

      Lov ya my friend,

    Hi Barbara,

I love that you wanted hands on experience in order to understand better and to be more effective!

Ah, so awesome that you mention friends as we all learn at some point that we can’t do this alone. No matter how hard we try to be super woman, it ain’t possible. 🙂

I need to use press releases more often to be sure, it’s just a bit of a challenge coming up with ‘newsworthy’ titles to announce something if it’s simply new content on my blog…. Lol Sylvianne did a great job on yours! I have someone on Fiverr that manually submits to many paid press release companies, and I pay $5 – she has the subscriptions and a gig that pays for them.

Couldn’t agree more about social media and Facebook ads, have been dabbling with them myself.

I’ve never heard of Salesspider – Will check it out, thanks. 🙂 Had not heard of either, and will check it out. (your link goes to an error, just a heads up).

Awesome and Congrats on all the traffic so far, and I will be looking forward to part 2~!

    Take care,

      Hi Carol,

      Thanks for visiting my blog.

I really appreciate you coming and paying a visit. Yes, this has been a learning experience over the last 4 years and learning is necessary for continued improvement in our lives, in our business. Business means being more effective.

Yes, Donna, Adrienne, Sylviane – we all are in Mastermind group together and have supported and helped each other for about 2 years now, right ladies? We have moved to supporting each other as true friends, not just FB friends and I love them dearly! Shout out ladies! 🙂

I’m actually going to put out more releases as I think they can be very effective. Trying something different, right. 🙂 I need to use press releases more often to be sure, it’s just a bit of a challenge coming up with ‘newsworthy’ titles to announce something if it’s simply new content on my blog….

Yep, try Salespider. It’s another network for related business. Let me know if you need any help with it. It’s an interesting atmosphere and can be effective.

BTW, which link. I checked all were working so please let me now which one. I’d really appreciate it.

      Thanks again for visiting.

    Hey Barbara,

Wow, you are definitely serious with the marketing!

You shared some gold nuggets that I definitely am going to check out. I can use some speed for some of the programs and tools I promote.

I’ve used Facebook ads in the past and it was quite a learning experience for one. One next time I get it started again, I need to lower my daily budget, target more of a niche market, and really watch the spending and set a limit. I was getting a lot of leads but not enough sales to cover the cost.

I remember reading Sylviane’s post on press releases and it downs sound like a great option to look into. For now I want to focus on PPC, Solo Ads and gaining more traffic. I may look at the site to see what keywords are being searched for my blog posts.

Thanks Barbara for giving a lot of value and sharing what are you doing to speed things up with your market! I hope you had a great 4th of July!

      Hey Sherman,

Glad I was able to provide some nuggests to you. Happy to do that. I’ve always been afraid of the CPC and such as I do think that if we don’t know what we’re doing, it can get expensive. In addition, it seems to have a slow success rate.

Press releases I’m trying so I’ll keep you posted on it for sure!

Try hittails anyway, because not only does it give you details, it will give you keywords that people are searching for your website on, but you can use those same keywords to write even more posts. We can always have a topic or subject to write on using keywords. It links with Webmaster tools and provides that data as well as additional data to investigate so we can be more effectively.

Let me know if you need help.

    Hey Barbara,
That looks interesting niche 😉 and your promotion strategies are right up. Working with friends and experts in their fields is probably the way forward.

I did a post last week on how to promote a product massively for long term traffic!. With your permission, here is the url

I think going with bloggers can get you a long way ahead of your competitors.

Another suggestion is to set an affiliate system. Like Amazon, so many niche bloggers will set up niche sites of 10 -20 pages pulling in hundreds of daily sales. That means you have to stand up to the demand too.

What do you think about that idea? Is that something you envisage ?

    Hey Barbara,

I know you were so anxious to get that site up as you should because your products are awesome and I know that you’ll probably start making sales rather quickly.

I think the press release and running the ads will probably bring in a lot of traffic and hopefully some sales as well. I can’t see how they wouldn’t.

I use to use Sales Spider years ago, I didn’t realize it was still around. For what I was using it for I didn’t have a lot of positive results but what else is new right.

I’m glad you got on Pinterest and now you know what I was talking about. You’ll do great there I’m sure.

I’ve never hear of hittail but I also know that in Google Webmaster Tools you should be able to find the keywords people are using to find your site too so be sure to compare the two and see if that one site is worth it.

Good luck to you, like you’ll really need it. I know you’ll do really well.

      Hi Adrienne,

Sorry it’s taken so long for me to get back to you. I do think the products were awesome too so hopefully I’ll get some traffic. Ads have brought in some traffic and the press release too but not as much as I thought. Working on some other things. Salespider worked for me for a bit. And I’m loving Pinterest (so thanks for that one). I’ll keep everyone up to date and how it goes. Got to get to the technical aspects of this now. Thanks for your expert advice.
      I’ll keep you posted.

    Hi Barbara,

Congratulations on successfully launch of your new website. Wow! I did not know that you had already taken the expert advice from Donna, Adrienne, Sylviane and a few more in the blogosphere. That’s the way to go!

Your website looks great and the products are obviously something that you are excited about and so will be your customers and to see your website! You definitely have an edge over many others with the same product because you have such a powerful website while others might still be figuring out how to market this thing!

Thank you for sharing part one of your story and I look forward to the second one. Have a great rest of the week.

Yes, I’m excited about the products and can’t wait to see the sales coming in (positive thinking!).

Have a blessed day and again thanks for your help.

I’ve been thinking about the press release since Sylviane wrote an article on it. It’s a quick way to get to the masses for sure. Congrats on working part-time, if that’s what you want. Much success and it’s great you can now focus on your business. Kudos to you and best of luck.

    Hi Barbara,

Sorry I’m so late here, but it’s been another heck of week for me too. Sophie has got a urinary tract infection showing up over the week end and I rushed her to the vet on Monday morning, and she’s needed more attention and things. Oh boy 🙂

Wow, thank you so much for mentioning me and my service here. Very nice of you.

I think your post series can really help people learn some simple steps to launch a new small business and that’s great work. I will definitely share these posts beyond social media, if I know of someone in need of this info.

Thanks again and have a great rest of the week!

You’re welcome on the service. You did a great job on the press release. I’ll refer to you anytime. I’m promoting you and press releases. That seems to be the way to go.

I’ve always been so confused on launching new sites so this is a journey for me and I’m sure there are others who need it. Hopefully, part deux will be out next week.
