7 Immediate Great Ways To Get Traffic To Your Blog

For the 2015 new year evaluation of my blog I wanted to make some changes that would increase traffic to my blog.  My goal is to evaluate my web traffic by determining numbers of visitors, then work on increasing my traffic, comments and social proof.

Here are 7 immediate great ways to get traffic to your blog.

To start I evaluated and documented the numbers and will check within 3 months to see what the improvements are, and I fully expect improvements, as I’ve seen a few already!

Here’s my Blogging Business Plan to get additional traffic, blog comments and increased social proof within 6 months.

1.  Purchase Build A Blogging Community by Adrienne Smith

As soon as it hit the airways, I purchased Adrienne Smith’s Build A Blogging Community and started implementing some of her techniques.  I’m reading it and absorbing what needs to be done. Slowly working my way through it.

Adrienne has a huge following of commenters and she is a well respected blogger.  People seek her out and in my opinion, if there is anyone who can help me get there; it is by following what she has accomplished on her own.

Her product gives lessons she herself implemented in order to get to and what to do to be successful.  Please check it out by clicking on the pic to the right.  🙂  You will not be sorry!

I saw some major improvements with her guidance in this product!

2.  Re-Furbish Old Blog Posts and Repost Them.

As I’ve been blogging for about 4 years.  Many posts were written when I didn’t get any or received very little traffic.  Comments were few and far between.

Some posts were old. Some were downright boring (part of the learning process I guess).  I went to a post I read in 2012 which I thought was pretty good and got quite a few comments but when I read it recently I thought ‘OMG, how borin!”

I have older posts with great info, but I didn’t have traffic and didn’t know how to get traffic at the time, so I’ll update those posts with current info and re-post.  If you have old posts and have no comments, you may consider re-furbishing the post – get up to date info and modernize it.

That can help get new traffic to your blog!

3.  Join Aha-Now Community with Harleena  Singh

I joined AhaNow community with Harleena Singh! Wow, what a difference in commenting and obtaining social proof.

With approximately 150 ACTIVE participants it is a thriving blog commenting community!

That’s impressive! It’s so busy, it’s hard to get to everyone.

I’ve seen tremendous traffic in just a couple of weeks. If you want to get more traffic, go here, sign up and get started!

It’s pretty awesome if you are looking to get traffic to your blog.

4.  Start a Blog Commenting Group on Facebook

I am into health and wellness although I also blog about coaching Internet Marketers how to properly get started and recruit online effectively.   Our Facebook group has only a few members (just started this month 2015), but we are effective!    It’s not just a drop your link in and go away.

It’s about providing valuable information and content to members.  It’s also about providing social proof to the other active members in the group.

What I mean by ‘active’ is that for every post we place in the group, we have to visit 3 other member’s blogs and leave a valuable comment.   About 10% of the group is active right now and we are growing.  I’ve very excited about our growth and movement.

We are looking for more members who will actively participate if you’re interested.  You will definitely get more traffic to your blog as our people are very dedicated to weekly visiting others and writing their own posts as well.

If you are looking for a new and serious blog commenting group to join, click here

5.  Build Your Mailing List

I know you’ve heard this before, probably over and over again.  I know I have.  Many people don’t even have a mailing list despite thousands of blogs and advice that the ‘money is in the list.’

You must  build a mailing list if you are doing business online.  You need to keep in touch with the people who you are interacting with on a regular basis.

I actually have a mailing list!  So what’s changing in regards to that?!

I’m very poor at sending out broadcast emails and keeping in touch with them.  Soooo, that’s part of my business plan as well.   This past Sunday I wrote 10 broadcast messages and scheduled them to go out to a particular active mailing list I have.

Yeah!  I felt so accomplished!  And guess what?  I received at 12 emails asking questions about products and services and additional visits to my blog. That’s awesome and goes to show me that all that training and all that talk about ‘it’s in the mailing list’ is true.

6. Get That Coach – Try it! You Don’t Have Far To Look

Took my own advice from a previous blog post  and hired a coach, Donna Merrill and Catch The Blogging Fever.   Donna and her husband David are a matching pair of book-ends and have created some great products to help bloggers.

Working with her so far has been tremendously valuable in that I’ve learned so much.

Donna and David have some great info and what I find absolutely fascinating is it’s business strategies, websites, information I’ve never heard before.  Truly enjoying it as I learn.

7.  Join Kingged.com

Last on my list of things to  do.  A while ago,  Sherman Smith wrote an article on Kingged.com. I visited at the time, but didn’t join as it requires a little time to sign up and get acclimated.

This is another active community of bloggers and I am making time to get to know it and participate in it.

I know that Sherman gets great traffic so I seriously considering his recommendation.  That’s a goal for this week!  Sign up.  And if you already use, please let us know what your think about traffic to your website after you’ve used it.

Final Thoughts

These are the 7 great ways to get traffic and start getting immediate results, i.e., increase in traffic to your blog as well as obtaining comments and social proof.  Getting traffic to your blog is key to your success (guess you’ve heard that a thousand times before.)

Comments are needed so that your blog doesn’t look like a ghost town when someone comes to visit.

You want to be seen as an authority on your blog.  That your information is valuable.  Social proof and comments are needed and I’ve just noted 7 ways to get that.

Hope you’ve found it helpful.  What have you been doing at this time to obtain more traffic, more visitors? Do you have a plan?

Do you have comments on your blog?  How are you going about obtaining social proof?

I’m always ready to learn additional ways and I’m sure our readers are too.  Please share and let us know.

Happy blogging!

    Hi Barbara,

I too purchased Adrienne’s course and she’s just the person to teach how to build a community. Any post on her post is proof enough that she knows what she’s talking about.

Mailing lists are big, especially for recurring traffic. When people stumble upon new blogs it’s hard to remember who or what they are to come back later, or to even know when. An email list takes care of that for you.

Typically when people write about traffic methods it’s the same ole stuff. Glad to see you included some new techniques and resources.

      Hi Lea,

Adrienne’s course is awesome. I know quite a few who have purchased it and seen some great increase in traffic to their blogs. She does know what she’s doing and we’ll be talking this week to discuss some other strategies. Can’t wait.

I’m working harder on my mailing list. Something I sorely slacked off on so this year it will be different. Thinking of creating and managing some new products so this will be particularly important.

Glad you enjoyed the different ways to get traffic. I think sometimes we have to take the old and add a new slant to it because things so rapidly change in the Internet world.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by. Have a great week.

    Hello Barbara,

Kingsley here and first time commenter on your blog. I haven’t related with you personally but have seen you around blogs of friends of mine, like Sherman, and I have enjoyed reading your comments and posts.

About this post, bravo! It’s sweet and straight to the point. One can read it in one quick sitting, immediately take action on some or even all the points, and most importantly, get results.

There are certainly lots of other blog posts out there about getting traffic but this is different mainly because, like I have said, it’s staight to the point. And of course because if one or more of the points are implemented, one would really get good traffic.

The problem with other posts about getting traffic is that the methods are often too many and can be overwhelming. I remember reading one last year which included 100+ ways to get traffic. Way too overwhelming, I have to say. That’s why many people read them but file the ideas away, only to read similar posts some days later, file away, yet again. And the circle goes on and on and on, 🙂

Thankfully this is not the case with this post! One can read and take action on just one or two of the points, and get results. SWEET!

By the way, thanks for mentioning Kingged.com as one of the “immediate great ways of getting traffic”. We have helped drive MILLIONS of extremely targeted traffic to bloggers for nearly 3 years now, without charging a dime all along, and we hope to continue doing that for more years to come, 🙂

When you do join Kingged, feel free to let me know if you have any problems getting started. I am always available and can personally help you, if you need help on Kingged.

Thanks again, for a sweet post. Talk soon, 🙂

      Hi Kingsley,

First, how are you and welcome to my blog! Let me guess, you have something to do with Kingged.com, uh? 🙂 So glad you came by ’cause it’s in my plan for this week to sign up and try to learn how to maneuver there. I’ll definitely reach out to you if I have any questions.

Second – wow! So glad you thought well of my post! I’m glad it seems easy to follow. I’m like you which is why I try to write things where people can take some immediate action. If a post is too long with a ka-zillion ways to ‘do something,’ I get bored or as you say store it away to get back to and never get back to it. I cleaned out my ‘favorites’ the other day and deleted blog posts from years back, all designed to teach me something I never got back too. So glad you liked the approach and found the suggestions helpful. I appreciate your thoughts and your input.

Well I’ll be in touch. Hopefully, my Friday I’ll be there to take a look. I’ve getting traffic and responding to a lot more comments nowadays but I’m determined to get to kingged.com I’ve been hearing about it for months and I love that it actually gets traffic to people.

Thanks for the offer of aide if needed. I’ll definitely take you up on it.
Have a great week and thanks again for visiting my blog. 🙂
      God bless,

        Hello Barbara,

Thanks for the warm welcome to your blog.

I started Kingged.com in 2012, so yes, I have something to do with it, 🙂

Yes, the main power of this post still remains that one can read and take action immediately, and of course, get results.

I can totally relate to your “deleting blog posts from years back, all designed to teach you something you never got back to”. Haven’t we all? There’s just too much information everywhere that the more simple a post is, nowadays, the better.

Still on the subject, I just read and responded to a post by Richard Martin of SmartIncomeDetective blog. The post talked about the problem of bloggers inundating their posts with too many external links, which end up giving readers too much information, and confusing them in the process. I agreed with him. The less, the better, sometimes.

Again, when you come around to Kingged on Friday, as you plan to, make sure to let me know if you run into any problems. Registering and getting started should be pretty straight-forward. I will also contact you right after registering, so it should all go smoothly, 😉

Thanks again for a simple and straight-forward post. I look forward to not only seeing you on Kingged, but engaging with you, on a more closer level, in the coming days.

    Hi Barbara,

    Great post here.

I purchased Adrienne’s course when it first came out as well. Some really great stuff that she shared and you’re right, I would recommend that course to anyone.

Regarding your plan for your old posts, I had the same mentality as well. Unfortunately, my plan was to update all the posts that I’ve written to give it my style and voice that I have now. I’ve long given that up because it’s too time consuming. If you do plan to do this, I suggest you focus on some of the posts that’ve done well and re-purpose it. Turn it into a PDF, or a slideshow and share it on Slideshare.net or make an audio of it, or even a short video. Since many people learn and consume information in different ways, that’ll definitely help.

Just recently joined Harleena’s community and I’m kicking myself that I never joined before. Her community rocks and I’ve gotten to meet awesome bloggers like yourself.

More and more I’ve been thinking of a blog commenting group on Facebook and it’s something I may want to seriously consider.

Building a list is really important and should be one of the main focal points.

Regarding Donna’s coaching program, it’s something that I haven’t fully considered at the moment. But that may change in the future.

And finally, Kingged.com is a really good place. I was there before for a while but it just took up too much of my time and I couldn’t commit like I wanted to. But it’ll be a good experience if you try it.

Great post again and good luck.

      Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the advice regarding the re-purposing of the blog posts. I hadn’t planned on re-doing all of my old posts, just a few that I considered important. My goal was to do the same as you…give them my ‘current’ voice. I had not considered adding to slideshare or to do a video. Thanks for those suggestions.

Harleena’s community does rock. Loving it so far! 🙂 Donna’s coaching is great as well. I’ve watched her go from one place to a great place of success so she has definitely done it right and is improving it and now providing info to others.

I’m aiming to go to Kingged.com this week. I don’t plan on spending a lot of time there. As usual, it’s about scheduling, same as in Harleena’s community. I won’t try to do everything there. Just a few things. That’s what makes the difference. Can’t wait to get started there.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by. Truly appreciate it.

Thanks for the suggestions. Good tips.
      Have a good week

Looking at your 7 strategies to get traffic to your blog, I am not surprised that you are successful. First Adrienne product is great and she has top rated tips that will turn any blog to a high traffic and super commenting machine.

Recently I did some refurbishing for my old blog posts and I have recently been creating Slides for some of my blog which I shared on Slideshare. I have gotten quite a high no of views and even likes. So this strategy does work

ABC isn’t just a community but a family. There is no one who joins ABC that will complain unless you ain’t participating in the activities. One thing about this community is every member is friendly and Harleena and Vinay make sure that each member is a champion.

Building a mail list is sure important and I have had to join some facebook groups so this is also a good strategy. I agree with having a coach and they can speed the process.

Thanks for sharing. Thumbs up for a wonderful post.

Aha-Now is definitely active and I wouldn’t have met so many great people if not for her community and Adrienne and I have been friends for 2+ years now so I had to show her my support because I know how hard she has worked and how successful she has become. I implemented only two tips from your list. I joined Aha-Now and building an email list. Rest of them are yet to be implemented.
I heard about Adrienne Mam’s product, but due to lack of money I didn’t purchased it. But will do it soon.
OMG! What do I say about Aha-Now. It is more than increasing traffic. I got masive increase in comments and got some soulmates from there.
My blog is not that much old. So I am saving your #2 tip for the future use.
I am reading this post through phone. So will join in that FaceBook post, you mentioned.

Will join a blogging mentor program soon. I know it will deminish the time towards success as probloggers what to do amd how to do.

I’m sure Andrew is a good teacher too (don’t know him yet), but I always like to listen to various people who have great success so that I have many options and as much info as I can to get the best results.

    Hi Barbara,

    Wonderful post indeed 🙂

I loved all that you mentioned, and thanks SO much for mentioning the ABC (Aha!NOW Blog Community) as well – you made my day! And so nice to see so many Ahaians here already 🙂

Yes, it IS tough to get to everyone as there are SO many members, but one can try, especially visiting those who visit our blogs. That’s the best way to build new connections and relationships thereafter. So glad you are liking being a part 🙂

Good to know that you are going through Adrienne’s course and even Donna’s course, and I know so many are already benefiting from it too. I guess it makes sense to learn from someone who’s been there!

I know what you mean by re-furnishing old posts! I can’t believe I used to write the way I did, when I started blogging too! But that’s how we all learn, though it’s not something I’ve yet got down to doing. Being a writer, I prefer churning new posts each time – that takes me less time as compared to re-doing the old ones! But, it’s on my to-do list because that would tweak them to the trend today.

Yes, some of the Facebook groups, as you mentioned, are very good and help bring in a lot of traffic, which is similar to some LinkedIn ones, and those on G+ too. I used to be a part of all of these, till last year. But now the focus is just the ABC, and you know how busy it can keep me!

Lol…I am quote like you where a mailing list is concerned – tough to find time for everything. Have to get down to it too. Yes, Kingged is wonderful, and though I am there too, just don’t have the time to devote there now, as one has to do up the ABC, my own blog community. But it is a good community for those keep to build relationships and get comments on their blogs too.

Thanks for sharing these ways with us, and though I get a LOT of comments – more than I can handle at times, I know these are good ways, especially if you have tried them all. Have a nice week ahead 🙂

Thanks for seconding that “Kingged is wonderful”. I am proud to see you are doing very wonderful things as well with your community. That’s awesome. I have said it before and will say it again:

The more blogging communities, social bookmarking and content curation platforms that there are for bloggers to use, the better. In fact, the blogging communities, social bookmarking and content curation platforms are not enough.

Thankfully you are doing that with your Aha-now community and that’s super awesome, 🙂

        Hi Kingsley,

Good to meet you here. 🙂

Of course, what you are doing at Kingged is really wonderful and I appreciate it. Honestly, I never intended the ABC to be a “blogging” community. I always referred to it and even now call it my blog community. But things evolved with time and I started catering to the new demands and possibilities.

Thank you for your appreciation, it means a lot. I totally agree with you that the blogosphere is big enough to accommodate many blogging communities and promotion platforms. I never think in terms of competition because each one has its own way and unique aspect. Bloggers do need such communities and platforms.

I agree that the blogging communities and platforms should help promote the submitted posts and we’ve such plans too at the ABC. However, our USP is the mutual engagement and interaction among the members of the community that many consider as being more important than just promoting the posts. I believe and tell my members that the ABC is not merely a promotion platform but a place to learn, grow, and evolve.

Thanks again for your kind words and offer to help. I too wish you all the best and success to you. Have a great weekend ahead! 🙂

Yes, I know you are a busy woman so I do understand your focus on your community. That’s a full time job you got there.

Finally, I discovered re-doing old posts is a lot harder than I thought as you mentioned. It takes some work and it is a bit easier just to write something new. But I’m determined as it will definitely help now that I know more about blogging and posting.

Thanks so much for being there for me in your community. Can’t say enough good things about it!

    Hi Barbara,

I want to first thank you so much for the wonderful shout out about working with David and I and one of my products, Blogging Fever.

I love all the action you have been taking from Adrienne’s product “Building a Blogging Community” which lead you to Kingged, AHA NOW community and a blog commenting group. My gosh…this surely will help your blog explode with comments.

Beyond the comments, more importantly is your mailing list and I’m sure glad you are working on that one. I find I spend more time engaging on my mailing lists than I do on my blog. Yes…the money IS in the list, and when following the good old 80/20 rule it works!

Focusing on your list and providing them with great information will increase the open rate. Then comes that 20% whereby you can give them the offer to a product/service. I need not go into length here, because I know you know how to do it so well.

David and I are loving working with you! Our main intention is to always get someone going to achieve success. I know with all the work you are doing you will be storming the internet with what you have up your sleeve! lol.

You are a wonderful person and have great knowledge of how things work. A few more steps and you are there!

    Hey Barbara,

Wow, great post and thanks for sharing about my course. I’m so thrilled that you’ve been enjoying it and are already seeing some results. It really is all about what I’ve done myself and why. Just appreciate you sharing it here.

I agree with everything else you shared as being effective to help you drive traffic to your blog. As you and I have spoken personally though, only one of these you mentioned brings about the wrong “type” of traffic for me personally so I don’t use that particular method. I think though that we each have to at least test the waters and see what kind of results we can get from it. You’ll never know otherwise right!

The money definitely is in the list but only if you are there for them which I know you are. Just from the amount of email responses you’ve already received, that’s proof enough.

Since I know Donna and David too I can vouch for their knowledge and I think everyone should work with some type of coach if they need assistance in certain areas. That’s the only way you’ll ever get ahead and learn things you have never known how to do or what you should do.

Great share and I’ll be sure to share this one as well. Thanks so much again for the mention here and you have a wonderful rest of your week.

      Hi Adrienne,

Definitely my privilege to share your post. Your course is awesome and should be shared. I’ve seen amazing results. Even this post has gotten 68 posts which for me before was impossible.

My posts were getting 4, maybe 5 and could be up to 10-12 comments until I started with your course. I can’t believe the immediate results AND the increase is unbelievable. I’m so incredibly happy that I purchased your products.

You’re definitely right regarding testing the waters. I see that there might be issues already, but I will test the waters. 😉

Between Donna and you, I have been able to increase traffic and am working toward a new products as well.

Learning from the best, people who are also my friends, companions and business teachers. Thanks to both of you for helping me get started and increase my traffic.

Your opinions are valuable to me and if you say it was good, I’m loving it. Thank you.

And I’ll continue to mention you as I am soooo pleased with the training and course you’ve produced. People are foolish not to invest in this. It definitely works.

      Talk soon.

Hi Barbara, I did purchase Adrienne’s course but haven’t gotten to it, it’s on the top of my list of things to do. I like your suggestion about old posts, I haven’t done that in a while. As for joining more groups – it is a time factor. I need more hours in the day! I can’t imagine joining another group without giving it the time it deserves. I haven’t done Kingged ina while because you have to devote so much time to it. I like Enstine’s Broaded.net vs Kingged at the moment.
Getting a coach is something I have been thinking about and may do before year’s end. I think it is important to invest in oneself to get ahead and not remain stale.
I am working on building my mailing list this year.
The only other thing I would add is to comment on other blogs, I find that really helpful for 2 reasons – learn something new by reading them daily and it does drive traffic back to yours. You can’t lose!
Thanks Barbara for sharing these and the reminder to redo old posts, that’s a great one too!
Have a great rest of the week.

    Hey Adrienne,

It is always a pleasure to share your knowledge. I’ve learned so much from you and I see it’s working. I couldn’t be happier. Nothing better than learning from someone who has gone through and done it themselves and made it to success! That’s who I want to work with and I’m so glad you’re my friend. 🙂

I do understand regarding some other methods and I’ll keep an eye on it but I’m not particularly liking what I see already. :0 I’ll keep you posted.

The money is definitely in the list. I’ve actively been working Aweber with a particular list (my international one) and I’m amazed at the response! I’m getting 10 emails a day with questions about the products. That’s awesome! So money in the list! WooWoot! You got that right!

Donna and David – yep! Awwwwesome! Can’t say anything more. I know a lot of people don’t want to work with coaches, mainly as an expense I think, but coaches are critical if you want success fast and you’re right – you have to learn things from others otherwise you will never know.

Thank you for any shares for my post. I appreciate it. I’m getting there thanks to all of you. So when I get 100 comments, I feel I would have arrived LOL!

Thanks for the support my friend.

    Hello Ms. Barbara

What an awesome post and the seven strategic things one should incorporate in their blog.

Well, after reading this…. I feel like I need help. I don’t think I have a mailing list and would not know how to start one.

Second, my thoughts are to take some of the old post and rewrite them with a different flavor since I have grown.

Third, I signed up for Ms. Harleena’s AHA but did not put much into it simply because it was difficult to work around. I could not understand it, but I want to learn.

Fourth… I am not ready to start a group because already I am involved in other groups that were not started by me,

I did sign up for Donna and David’s program and have been twice on their conference calls and it’s great, but it is so much… to learn.

Well about Ms. Adrienne’s program, I don’t know how much it is, but maybe in a couple of months, I will purchase it.

Thank you again for a great post

      Hi Gladys,

How are you darling? So glad you liked the post and that you found it helpful. So in regards to your re-writing your old posts. I did the same and am still doing the same. As I knew that I had grown after a year or two and my style had changed, I needed to make changes in my style. Those posts (only a few) will be re-furbished. Take a look at your voice, if it’s interesting (to others), your style and evaluate what you need to change.

I did find it difficult to maneuver the Aha blogging community and I needed to ask Harleena for help. But everyone is very willing to help so just get in there and play around for a bit. If you have questions, ask Vinay or Harleena and I can even tell you how to get around. It’s worth it.

As far as a group goes, you do not have to start a group as you are already involved in a couple of commenting groups. My point was to be active in a group, even if you’re not ready to start one. You’re doing great honey as we are in two blogging groups together.

I’m sure you’re learning much from Donna and David’s calls. They are an awesome pair and have a great many things to teach. There is so much to learn but blogging is a learning experience and things will always change so we will always be catching up to the newest aspects of blogging. No bigger. It is as it is. 🙂

Adrienne’s course is really inexpensive. At least I think so and well worth the purchase. If you get the opportunity, please give it a shot. You will see an increase in your blog right away if you implement what she teaches.

Let me know if you need help. You still have my number. 🙂 Would love to talk to you to discuss these things if you’d like.

God bless. Have a good one.

    Happy New Year Barbara!

You mentioned three products on this post and I confirm they generate results firs, because of the power of the authors and then my personal experience.

I have had great success with kingged.com and Kingsley has been working hard to make the platform a reference.

Donna and Adrienne and icons and from what they do on their blogs, there is proof they deliver in their products.

The most exciting method on the list is building your mailing list. Facebook, Google, Kingged and other platforms can change and through your campaigns off but your list is always there.

Each time I mail my list about a new blog post, there is always a growth in traffic and engagement.

Let me add BroadedNet which is fast becoming a huge traffic generator for bloggers. Hope to hear what you think about it

Do have a wonderful weekend dear friend

Donna and Adrienne are excellent at what they do and listening to them is the best thing in the world. They are my friends and my teachers.

I’m definitely working on my mailing list and looking forward to getting more traffic there as well too.

I’ve never heard of BroadedNet so I’ll take a look at that too. It’s been great to see such immediate results.

Thanks for stopping by and your support and insight. Much appreciated it.

Great tips here. I have to check out Harleena’s community..I had heard about it but wasn’t sure what it was exactly. These are all great tips. I especially liked what you said about hiring a coach…I may be a bit biased on that one 🙂 There is lots of great information we can find for free, but for many people, investing in that personal attention, whether for business or personal growth, is one of the most effective ways, provided it really resonates with the person and the person really resonates with the coach.

    Hi Barbara,

Great tips indeed to get more traffic.

I did buy Adrienne’s course, it is awesome, I didn’t finish it all but it is indeed a great one.

I am also a member of the Aha Now community and Kingged but I am not as active as I should be and I will try to make the time specifically to be there and engage with people.

Another great point you mentioned here is re-furbishing old posts. This really got me thinking as I wrote some posts when I started and as you said, my blog was a ghost town and no one or only few got to read them. That is a great tip which I will definitely make use of.

All your tips are valuable and simple. Thanks Barbara for sharing them. Enjoy your weekend ahead.

    Hi Barbara,
It’s indeed a great joy to be here again after a bit gap,
Though I have been here earlier but could not make it quite often,
Today I am landed here via Adrienne’s current post on 16 People….
That was indeed a great list, and most of them are there in my list too…

Coming to the post: Though i heard much about Adrienne’s new products, due to some constrains i could not make it till now. I am sure she is an amazing personality indeed in building relationship, and her product will speak volume, the testimonies around the net shout out that!
Communities are a vital point in getting traffic to our blogs. Coming to the point in this line I am an active member at kingged.com since almost 11 months and from the day one I joined, my blog traffic flow increased tremendously and several times i increased my webpage bandwidth. and am still an active member there, The Admin there especially Kingsley is very co-operative and a very present help at the appropriate time in guiding the members. I am sure a visit there will tell it all!
And I am also an active member of Harleen’s and Vinay’s recently started ABC community at AhaNOW page, though it’s a blog community by name I can very well say that it’s not just a community, instead it’s a family get together, I appreciate the Admin Harleena and Vinay for their relentless support to the community members. The Admin Vinay is always ready with a helping hand and the The Ahain’s are really very supportive each other, Joining here will get you that feeling!

Though I have two accounts in fb i could not feel much benefit out of it, instead I prefer G+ and twitter. And building an email list will surely give more benefits. Successful coach Carol Amato’s guest post on this subject in my page will give you more light on this line. I am sure listing building is a vital part in blogging activity, and all bloggers should make note of this very seriously to get more benefits out of it.
Thanks Barbara for all the 7 great ways to get traffic to our page. I need to try out the other tips mentioned here.
May you have a great week ahead. 🙂
    Keep informed
    Best Regards.

      Hi Phillip,

Thanks for stopping by. If you get a chance you should try to get Adrienne’s product. It really is worth it and you’ll get much out of it. Being involved in the communities will do the same. I hear Kingged.com is good, and Harleena’s group is truly awesome.

Facebook is what you get out of it. Many people have great followings on FB and Google Plus so either one is good.

If you try out other tips, please let me know.

      Thanks again for stopping by.

      talk to you later.

    Hi Barbara,

I have found my way here from Adrienne Smith’s blog.

I like your idea about re-furbishing old blog posts and reposting them. It is something I have read about several times in the last few weeks. I have quite a number of early blog posts on my blog that are in need of a little TLC.

Would you recommend re-dating them as well i.e. making them look as they belong to 2015 rather than say 2013 when they were originally published?

    • says

      Hi Jo,

Thanks for stopping by my blog! So appreciate that! Hello and hope you are well.

I too have read about refurbishing old blogs but I never did one before until, guess what, today! My featured post is a 2 year old re-furbished post! I actually read up on how to do it so I wouldn’t make any mistakes. The way it was explained to me is that yes, you want to re-date it (I did the current date), note that it is a refurbished post, make the old one a draft so you can use the same URL/permalink. Also tell your audience that it is a repost. The last advice is to not refurbish anything that is only a couple of months old. The post I re-did was over 2 years old.

So yes, re-date/publish to make it current and update the post itself to make it current, i.e., 2015. It was a little weird when it came time to publish. If you have any issues, please reach out to me and I’ll help you, no problem.

Thanks again for stopping by. 🙂 Really appreciate the visit.

Be well. Hope to see you again soon.

  21. says

    Hi Barbara

All the seven ways are fully focussed, result-oriented and already test by many and even most of them are free while the rest of them are also not much costly.

Price of the tutorial of Adrienne is not much higher while the fee of coaching by Donna is next to nothing as compare to the quality of her mentoring.

The two other key ways are Kingged and ABC. Both of them are free and just amazing. I am getting wonders after joining and actively participating in both of them. I can say half of my referral traffic is from both these wonderful communities.

Creating a Facebook group and expanding it is a little challenging job but with consitently managing it one can easily create a big group with active participation of its members. I created one such group in Feb last year and now it has more than 1200 active members.

Building an email list is evergreen way to build a strong customer base to keep selling and keep earning.

Thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful post with really great ways to boost blog traffic.

    Hi Barbara,

    It’s been a while…I hope you’re doing well.

Thanks for these great resources. I’m definitely going to get Adrienne’s course. She’s so helpful in her posts, I can only imagine how much she shares with us there.

I’ve also gone back and some old posts and like you I was in a learning process. I had the same reaction with my posts…yawn city. LOL Thanks for the reminder to update and repost. I’ll need to do that.

I’m on a couple Facebook groups and it has sent a lot of traffic my way. I also plan on joining Harleena’s ABC community but I want to make sure I can keep up with is so I have to do away some groups that aren’t that active and focus on that :).

Don’t gasp but I did away with my mailing list last month and I’m starting to regret it. I have noticed there is a bit of a slump in my revenue and the only thing I changed was doing away with my mailing list. I’m seriously thinking about doing it again. In fact, I shouldn’t give it a second thought.

Getting a coach is a great idea. I have one and she is awesome!

I have never heard of Kingged.com but I’m going to check them out.

      Hi Corina,

How are you lady? Hope you are well. Yep it’s been a while, but now you’re back. Hope all is well with you.

Yes I urge you to get Adrienne’s course. My typical comments were 4 to 5 or maybe at the most 12-14 . But following Adrienne’s instructions – wellllll, this post even speaks for itself! Over 60 comments and even though that may seem not to be a lot, it is a phenomenal jump just from following her lead. Adrienne’s post are always helpful and we can all learn from her as she has gone through and done it from scratch.

I think re-posting can be very successfully done especially as we grow in our blogging. I plan to try one each month because there are quite a few and they don’t reflect my current style! Gotta change that.

I’ve done some groups in FB but people are not consistent and some of them are just dropping links and not really interacting with the blogs. I finally gave up. Only one group on Facebook worked for me. Now, joining these various communities has helped tremendously.

Harleena’s group is fabulous as well and you get to meet a lot of cool people who are interested in growing their traffic and working their blogs. There’s a lot of cool people there.

You got rid of your mailing list!???/ WHAAAAT??? Girrrrl that shouldn’t even be a 2nd thought. That is where your money is – always! I’m sure you’ve heard that. I’d try to get that started back up as soon as possible. No one you saw a decrease in your revenue. Most people are trying to grow their mailing list…so get that started back up and start gathering your contacts again with a opt-in page. Yes, get that started up again.

It’s good you found a coach too. There are some great ones out there.

Yes, Sherman wrote an article on it a while back. I read about it so thought I’d look into it. But I may have too much going on at this time answering back all my comments! haha! Loving it!

Anyway, thanks so much for coming by. It was good to see you again. Hope to see you again soon.

    Hey Barbara,

As soon as you said “refurbish old posts” it got me to thinking maybe I need to go back and do some revamping. I looked at some old posts a while back and all I had to do was rolled my eyes. I can tell you I’ve come a long, long way LOL

I remember you told me that you were working with Donna over the phone. That’s great and I know Donna And David can help you a lot. They’ve shared so many great nuggets, and some I have applied, like video making. It was a fear I had, but started doing them in December, and now little by little I’m starting to get more comfortable with them.

And you know you can’t go wrong with Adrienne! This is the engagement queen we’re talking about. She’s getting a lot of traffic, but more importantly, she has a great brand and have great rapport with a lot of people we know. She continues do build rapport and it was a smart move for her to come out with a product relating to blogging community!

Kingged.com, was the stepping stone for me to really see the traffic coming. I really love the fact that just about everyone we both know are on kingged.com. That really tells you something. Thanks for the mention and I know you’re going to get a lot out of this site!

I’ve read a couple of articles on re-doing old posts. I think it’s a perfect way to improve on old posts that didn’t get a lot of traffic before. It is kinda funny when we look back and say ‘oh my…what was I thinking.’

I’ve also got video marketing on my ‘things to do list’ I’m getting a little bolder now in my quest for better rankings on my blog for 2015. I had that fear too but just today, downloaded a video application. I can’t wait to get started! And I do understand that fear. I don’t know why but it was there. Weird uh? Well gotta get over it for success.

The Engagement Queen, my friend Adrienne – can’t enough be said about her lol! She’s taught me so much and more importantly she is my friend. That speaks more to me than anything else and I must support her in all things just because. Lov ya Adrienne! 🙂

Well, I signed up for Kingged. Haven’t done anything with it yet like post. I find it confusing so taking my time to see how it does. I’ll evaluate it shortly and maybe do a post. I’ve been hearing more about Aha now. While I’ve commented there in the past, I never join the community. While, until today. Signed up today to see what it has to offer and what I can offer. Though having trouble finding my way around, I’ll get it eventually.

I add another vote for Kingged. It’s been well worth the time for me. I’ve found it a good way to get more comments, and you can do it all in one place. Saves some time. Not to mention I’ve made some great connections that could go way beyond getting more comments alone.

There is not doubt, simply commenting on other blogs can raise your own comment count. It’s work well for me in the past. Just finding time 🙂

    Enjoyed the read.
